About Us

Our principle consultant, veteran journalist Joshua Purushotman, entered public relations quite by accident when his excellent media contacts and expertise of “what is news, and how to present it to the mass media” was required for a major Crisis Communications program for the Sarawak Government, back in 2001.

Residing at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Kuching for six months, and working out of the Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation, he very successfully diffused the crisis and kept the Sarawak Government’s reputation intact, and out of the media limelight.

Since then, Joshua had worked in a number of international public relations firms, aligned to two of the world’s biggest communications groups – WPP and Omnicom. In his last position, for three years, Joshua was Director of Public Relations Practice at J. Walter Thompson International in Kuala Lumpur.

Over the years, Joshua has built a reputation as a public relations practitioner specializing in Corporate Communications and Branding. He is also much sought after as a Crisis and Conflict Management expert.

Today, apart from executing work for their own clients, JP & Associates Public Relations regularly networks with other public relations consultancies in Malaysia, and member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States to provide assistance to their clients.
